Following several profit warnings from car suppliers resulting from an unexpectedly bad down turn in demand for vehicle production Eisenmann has filed for insolvency.
This is another example of the auto sector struggling with the growing economic uncertainty.
With Evercore ISI commenting that it is not foreseeable for the environment to improve in the short term it is likely that Eisenmann will not be the only car manufacturer falling into difficulty.
FRANKFURT -- German partsmaker Eisenmann, which supplied Tesla in 2015 with a new paint shop at its plant in Freemont, California, filed for insolvency late on Monday. It is the latest sign of the growing economic problems crushing profits in the auto sector.
